I have a soft spot for tactile art; pieces that scratch an aesthetic itch with an underbelly of usefulness. I carved my first topograph in 2020 and began the long decent into the rabbit holes of map making. Where does the data come from? Who owns it? How do I align data from different sources? What projection is this? (I settled on Albers Equal Area Conic ESRI:102039 for the curious.)
